Electoral map blog

I’ve just learned of a new blog focusing on “the intersection of politics and geography” called The Electoral Map. It’s written by Patrick Ottenhoff, who was with the National Journal.

They do a bunch of quite mappy things though as yet I’m not sure of their mission. It seems more descriptive than activist (either in the sense of being developers, or of seeking to improve turnout and participation among segments of the population).

Here is a mashup however that they presented recently showing primary voting at different scales (their example shows Georgia, but show any state, or the country as a whole for both Dems and GOP.
