  1. I enjoyed Obama’s victory speech after the Iowa caucuses, and I was glad to hear about his double digit lead in the NH polls today. Still, your fascination with numbers and bright colors confuses me a little. Where does it come from?

I was thinking about you over the weekend, when CNN wouldn’t stop using Google Earth images to reinforce storiesfrom levees breaking to cars accidents. What’s that all about? It can’t hurt, I guess. Until a year-and-a-half ago, I had no idea that Sudan was the largest country in Africa.

I just find the crowdsource approach to this to be interesting. I recently read James Surowieki’s book The Wisdom of Crowds which may explain it.
