The Huffington Post, a leading news and political blog has posted an embedded Google map of the fires in California.
I think this is the first time to my knowledge that they have done this (the fires have spawned a number of embedded Google maps, most notably by the LA Times).
Tech Crunch is rumoring an IPO for Arianna’s very successful blog, which tends to make the top dozen or so most influential blog listings (such as Memeorandum).
PS: this just in from from near ESRI: “we’re ok!” I dunno, it looks kinda close (and why do you hate America according to CNN?)

Dude! I’m not from ESRI, but a starving grad student that goes to school in the Death Star Shield Generator Bunker. Just thought I’d clarify that.
