The Journal of Maps has a special issue on “motion” or transport systems:
The Journal of Maps would like to announce the publication of a special issue, entitled “Maps in Motion”, on mapping and spatial aspects of transport research. This issue brings together a broad range of research topics under the theme of transport and is a divergence from “traditional” maps, incorporating the mapping of temporal, theoretical and cognitive spaces. The issue also brings together applications from industry.
This body of work represents a significant, and novel, input to the application of spatial approaches within the transport research arena.
